About Denis

I have focused on working with youth, adults, and families since 2005, when I began working in the field at a Bachelor’s level. I began working with adjudicated adolescents, and have never looked back. I have worked within the probation system, foster care system, community based care, college counseling, school- based and private practice settings. I graduated with a Master’s degree in 2014, and have been licensed since 2018. I bring a breadth of experience to my work.

I have a strengths based focus. Let’s find what is going well, and do more of it. Let’s also minimize the impact of the difficulties that are also present. I am dedicated to the folks that allow me the honor of being present for their most sensitive difficulties, and their most significant triumphs. I understand the financial, emotional, and time investment required for therapy, and aim to make therapy efficient and to provide clients tools to last a lifetime.

I live and work in San Francisco. I love this town. I am also passionate about nature and the outdoors, and I spend time playing in the dirt and snow when I’m not working.
