“No matter what you face, within your heart peace is possible.”

—Jack Kornfield

Life can be so difficult sometimes.  Especially when we feel like we are not in control. Individually, or as a family unit.

Do you find yourself stuck feeling anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed without relief? Thinking and overthinking without getting results? Putting in great efforts to change or simply manage, but not finding the results you would like? We often go to great lengths to cope with or avoid feeling awful, only to find ourselves feeling this way again and again.

Perhaps you find yourself behaving or relating to others in ways that you know aren’t helpful, watching yourself do things that you don’t like and feeling bad afterward. Are you in regular, even predictable conflict with loved ones?  Often, families find theirselves in regular conflict over familiar issues but have difficulty changing these dynamics from within.

Developing and establishing patterns is perhaps one of the great strengths of human beings that has contributed to our survival as a species over eons.  However, this very same tendency and skill can be the cause of great emotional and relational suffering. Let’s work together to find newer, more effective patterns that provide relief, connection, and peace. Let’s gain true control. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness practice offer tools and solutions that can last a lifetime.
